Concours of Elegance & London Concours

Concours of Elegance 2019

We had a great weekend at Hampton Court viewing the fabulous selection of cars on display. We were particularly pleased that the Aston Martin DB2 was invited to be part of event. We were also very privileged to have worked on the 1904 Napier L49 which won best pre-war.

Once again it was an incredible show in a beautiful setting and we look forward to next year.

London Concours 2020

This years London Concours was the first large scale event to be held following lockdown in March. Finally a bit of normality in what has been a very difficult year to date! Aston Martin was this years Great Marques, sponsored by Nicholas Mee. Some incredible cars were on display and so it was a real honour to see the DB2 win 1st in it's class. It is 2+ years since we completed this car and it is great to see it still doing so well.

Concours of Elegance 2020

This years Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace was the setting for the unveiling of JUE477. The first ever production Land Rover from 1948. Since being found it has undergone a very careful preservation restoration by Julian Shoolheifer Ltd. We were honoured to be tasked with straightening the body panels whilst retaining the patina. This was both a challenge and a pleasure. Seeing the finished article at Concours this weekend was fantastic and to top it off it won best 1940's car. Full details of this remarkable preservation of possibly one of the most significant vehicles in automotive history can be found in a new book JUE477 by Martin Port
